• Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.

• Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.

• Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.

• Water is a source of energy for every cell in your body, including cells that generate new hair. The body is comprised of 60% water, so when you're well-hydrated, your body can function properly. This is especially important for your hair follicles, which are the fastest growing tissue in the body.

• When you're dehydrated, it leaves your hair thirsty. Even with mild dehydration, your hair may not look as lustrous or healthy as it normally does. However with more severe dehydration, your hair may become thin, brittle, dry, and break off easily-leading to the appearance of thinning hair. EXERCISE AND YOGA FOR THE TREATMENT OF

Yoga benefits hair fall by encouraging blood flow to the head which helps in reducing hair fall

You can create a slant board by using any board that will take your body size and weight and propping it up against the sofa or a chair. Make sure it is really secure. Lie down and relax.

You can also massage the scalp while in this position. The inverted postures in yoga are also helpful.

• Vitamin B complex helps . Make sure it contains biotin as this is particularly important for hair growth.

• Iron supplements should be taken only if you are diagnosed with iron deficiency.
