CHAKRAS- THE ENERGY RINGS AROUND US

A man being the creation of God, is born healthy and strong. It is only when the nature’s rhythms and cycles are upset that his system looses its natural capacity to function in the most ideal way that it should by default.

Our Body, Our Emotions, and Our Thoughts are all connected .Recent scientific research on Body-Mind-Soul supports the magnitude of the effect our emotional state can have on our physical body, and vice versa.

Our bodies are an intricate web, a fusion of our physical, emotional and inner energy.

Basically, there are the Seven Systems of Health which are based on the seven key centres of the body, known in yogic medicine as Chakras or the Energy rings, which are akin to psycho-neuro-endocrine glands.

These Energy rings correspond to those organs of the body that manage energy (just like the heart manages the circulatory system and the lungs manage the respiration). They are not physical organs, rather made up of energy themselves and each of them focuses on your unique physical, psychological and spiritual energy to direct and serve your wellbeing.

To regulate every area of our life, these Chakras or Energy Rings employ physical, subtle and other types of energies which are nothing but vibrations. These vibrations in-turn give rise to emotional challenges leading to various diseases.

There are seven Chakras starting from the base of the spine, ascending upwards to the crown of the head.

With this overview, let me mention to you in brief about each one of them starting from the first chakra or the Root chakra ascending upwards and their related psychological traits.

1. The ROOT Chakra- Muldhara Chakra

The root chakra is the first chakra of the body and is located in the base of the spine. Its role is to connect your mind, body and soul with the Earth. This chakra gives us the feeling of being close to the earth and is known to keep us grounded and connected with the energy of the earth.

It helps us to define our boundaries, structure, and sense of survival. If your ROOT system is imbalanced, you might feel ungrounded. When you detox your ROOT chakra, you focus on eliminating foods that put stress on your adrenal glands and immune system .Balancing Root chakra helps you to ease your relationship with your family and larger community.

2. The Sacral or the Svadhisthana Chakra- the FLOW

It is located right below the belly button-- three inches below the navel to be precise. This chakra is associated with the lymphatic system and reproductive system.

It governs your areas of emotions, creativity, sensuality, and partnership. Imbalances may revolve around fertility or anxiety, or a feeling of being blocked or not able to fully express ourselves. Balancing your sacral chakra is all about Vitality, sensuality, and a sense of bondedness and satisfaction in life.

3. The Solar or the Manipura Chakra- The FIRE

The third chakra is located behind the naval region below the rib cage. It is associated with self-confidence, self-discipline and wisdom. This chakra is also responsible for the ‘gut feeling’

It involves all areas concerned with thoughts, taking in, transforming, giving out, and directing our energy. The parts of the body associated with FIRE parts of our digestive system. When FIRE is in balance, we can easily break down and digest information. Our energy is strong and stable. Also a balanced third chakra results in healthy assertiveness, decisiveness, productivity, better mental focus and more dynamic energy.

4. The Heart or the Anahata Chakra- The LOVE

The fourth chakra is located in the centre of the chest. This chakra is responsible for emotional healing and sound mental health. Also it regulates our relationships with self, others and the divine.

All things related to love, compassion, devotion, and expansion in the heart and body are concerned with this chakra. When this system is in balance, there is a sense of wholeness with a host of love-centred abilities including compassion, empathy, motivation, friendliness, nurturing and acceptance.

5. The Throat or the Vishuddhi Chakra- The TRUTH

The throat chakra is located right above the heart and is responsible for voicing your expressions and being creative.

It is concerned with all things connected to our sense of personal truth, how we speak, our unique voice, and the expression of our desires into the world. Lies, falsehood and suppression of anger and expressions may imbalance this chakra whereas with a balanced Vishuddha chakra, the person becomes more creative and expressive, communicates positively, listens consciously, and experiences a sense of contentment.

6. The third eye or the Ajna Chakra- the INSIGHT

The third eye chakra is located in between eyebrows--the third eye and loosely translates to “beyond wisdom”. This chakra is responsible for garnering information about yourself and beyond the materialistic world. It is concerned with all things that are intuitive, intellectual, and imaginative, as they relate to the brain, our moods, and sleep. Problems in this arena include poor sleep, foggy brain, depressed mood whereas a balanced third eye chakra leads to keen intellect, strong intuition with an ability to use imagination in a positive manner. With a balanced third eye chakra, the person also has the ability to perceive and influence spiritual planes and can readily establish goals and take actions.

7. The Crown or the Sahasrara Chakra - The SPIRIT

This chakra is located on the top of your head and is known to be responsible for the direct connection with the divine and the conscious energy of the universe. Trying to balance this chakra will help you gain insight into yourself and balance your other chakras too.

This Chakra is concerned with all things that are spiritual, including our sense of purpose, our feeling of being connected to the larger whole, and the ability to purify our being. When this chakra is not in balance, you may have lack of vitality, loss of meaning and identity, apathy, unwise decisions , difficulty in learning and memory loss . Whereas balancing the chakra leads to increase in self-trust, superior consciousness matched with a refined sense of empathy.

OUR APPROACH

Chakra balancing is the process of creation of a harmonious balance of energies at the level of the Body-Mind-Soul. It ensures that there is an alignment throughout the body.

In an attempt to balance these chakras, the primary task first is to be able to determine which chakra/chakras are imbalanced.

This can be achieved by; The Physical symptoms the patient has seeked help for, the emotional state and the mental makeup, the innate tendencies of his inner being.

Once it is determined that at what level these rings of lights are deranged, now relevant approaches are considered to balance the chakras.

NIDHIVAN creates a health program that is its Spiritual wheel which addresses this imbalance, and focuses on healing the mental and the physical simultaneously thereby treating the body as a whole rather than a series of fragments.

With our Kirlian photography which is the Energy detecting machine and related Chakra Assessment questionnaire, the imbalance in chakras is determined and monitored periodically and the right treatment to balance chakras is given.
